Wooden Bali Bust – dancer with crown, approx. 60 cm

This large, hand-carved bust shows a Balinese dancer with an artfully worked headdress, behind which rises an openwork, radiating halo. The face, hair wreath, ear jewellery and the richly decorated breast ornament are finely worked.

The bust has a pale yellow paint finish with clear signs of age: in many places the paint has flaked off and the light wood shows through, which gives it an expressive vintage character.
