Wooden Balinese Woman – offering, headdress, approx. 60 cm

This hand-carved wooden figure shows a standing Balinese woman in traditional dress. She wears an artfully carved headdress of leaves and a flower and holds an offering in the form of a closed basket in her arm. The finely worked ornaments on the top and wrap skirt and the calm, lowered gaze give the figure its special expression.

The figure stands on a natural wooden base and glows in warm brown tones. It makes a special eye-catcher on a shelf, in the hallway or in the living room. There is a small hole visible in the basket; otherwise it shows only light, well-kept signs of use.
